ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Ambre.

WHERE I COME FROM
I was raised in East Baton Rouge Parish in an unincorporated area the near the Amite River. My childhood neighborhood experience of having the ability to ride my bike , stay out until sunset with my friends, walk to nearby stores and snowball stands is what drew me to Zachary. I wanted my children to have a similar childhoods experience. I spent the days fishing for crawfish in the ditches, riding my bike through the woods, going back and forth to friends' homes until one of the neighborhood parents rang the bell for us to all head home. Zachary provides all of these things for my children today and I am grateful for it and the diverse, family-centric community .
I graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School and then attended Louisiana State University for three years before transferring to the State University of New York's Fashion Institute of Technology campus where I was conferred two degrees, with honors.

After my first winter in New York City, I planned to relocate to a warmer climate. In my last year of college, a man without a home named Joe introduced me to my born-and-raised Manhattanite husband, Louie. I agreed to marry him only on the condition that once he could retire from the NYPD this Louisiana girl would get to come home. He kept his promise and we relocated to Zachary in 2017. I knew the moment I first drove into my current neighborhood and into the city limits of this city that this is where my family needed to be. I am truly home and appreciative of all who have welcomed us into this community that we love so dearly.
A VISION TO KEEP MOVING
District 3 is a gateway into our City. We are the home of thriving public amenities and local small businesses full of entrepreneurial spirit that provide valued service to our residents. My vision involves fostering an environment for business investment in our district that creates a mobile, diverse and vibrant community in which residents are proud of, as well as happy to call home.
